Rainbow 6 Jackpot Payoff Hits Big for Second Time in Past Week at Gulfstream
Gulfstream Park’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 was hit Sunday for $210,518.74, just one week after another bettor cashed a Rainbow 6 ticket for more than $810,000.
Conquest Hardcandy was a huge long shot winner in Sunday’s final race 12 for a win payout of $71.80. He scored at odds of 30-1 to produce the only single unique ticket.
Conquest Hardcandy ($71.80) was part of a winning sequence that included Sal’s Jet ($4.60); Starship Thor (9.60); Debbie’s Tude (6.20); Somethingelse ($8); and Audrique ($12.80).
The winning ticket was one of 64 20-cent tickets purchased by a bettor in Maryland.
The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool. However, on days when a mandatory payout is scheduled, the entire pool is shared by those holding tickets with the most winners.
When racing resumes Wednesday a Super High Five carryover of $112,178 will be available for wagering on the first race. Post time is 12:35 p.m.
