NYRA Bets Records First-Year Reach Increase

NYRA Bets, which is an advance deposit wagering platform (ADW) was launched at last year’s Saratoga Race Course meet, and in a very short amount of time has seen its geographic reach increase by almost 50 percent. Now that the product is available in 29 states it should only increase its reach.

These elements are part of the foundation of our Saratoga summer meet which is responsible for generating a $240 million regional economic impact and 2,600 jobs,” said NYRA CEO/President Chris Kay. “We are pleased with the success of NYRA Bets and look forward to reaching even more horseplayers in future years.”

After being integrated into the new NYRA XP app, NYRA apps provided bettors with a simple way to bet on their mobile device. There are also NYRA Bet kiosks at the Spa, as well as handicapping seminars.
NYRA also announced an update to the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5, which covers the final five races of each card at Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park, and Saratoga Race Course. The 15 percent takeout rate and minimum bet of $0.50 remains, but during Saratoga’s meet, the minimum single-ticket payout is now $150,000 every day and $300,000 on weekends.
