The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association announced that this year’s National Awards Dinner will take place on September 10 at Stonestreet Farm. This will be the 31st annual presentation of the National Awards Dinner.
The goal of the National Awards Dinner is to honor breeders and owners from 25 states and Canada. Featured awards include the National Owner of the Year, Small Breeder of the Year, Rood & Riddle Sport Horse of the Year, National Breeder of the Year, Claiming Crown Horse of the Year, and Broodmare of the Year. There are also four regional Owner of the Year awards, and the Robert N. Clay Award given to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution when it comes to preserving land for equine use.
“We are very honored and excited to host the 2016 National Awards Dinner at Stonestreet Farm,” said Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association President Dan Metzger. “Stonestreet will present a magnificent atmosphere for our honorees and patrons and we greatly appreciate Barbara Banke’s support and generosity in hosting what will be a truly memorable evening honoring outstanding achievements in Thoroughbred racing and breeding.”
